K-8 families are now able to apply for the EdChoice Scholarship. The EdChoice Scholarship has proven to be a great resource for our families and our school. The average scholarship per student was over $3,000 giving families savings on tuition costs.
We look forward to our K-8 families being provided this opportunity.
There have been a few changes made by the state of Ohio for the upcoming school year EdChoice scholarship. While last year there were five scholarship categories based on family income, this year each income level has its own scholarship amount. The state’s goal is to better match family incomes with specific scholarship amounts. Most Saint Rose families will see a larger scholarship, up to an increase of $800. We anticipate that some families may see a slight decline of up to $400, with most seeing a decrease of $34.
Renewal Process
- Families need to complete the two-page renewal application each year and submit it to Saint Rose at pendell@saintroseonline.org.
- Families need to submit a current utility bill that has the billing and service address listed separately to Saint Rose at pendell@saintroseonline.org.
- The next step is to complete the check deposit consent form and provide a copy of it to the school.
- Families that wish to be considered for tuition assistance beyond what EdChoice provides need to complete a tuition assistance form by following this link. April 15, 2024 is the deadline to apply for tuition assistance. The tuition assistance review form needs to be completed each year so that Saint Rose is compliant with any tuition assistance awards from the Scholarship Granting Organization.
- Current families do NOT need to resubmit their income verification unless they feel that they are now eligible for a larger scholarship based on changes in income levels. Income verification helpful tips can be found by following this link.
Application Process For Families New to the EdChoice Scholarship
We are encouraging all families to apply for an EdChoice Scholarship. The process to apply includes these steps.
- The first step is to fill out a two-page application, and provide it to the school along with a current utility bill which lists both a billing and service address, and birth certificate of your student. Forms can be emailed to Mrs. Pendell at pendell@saintroseonline.org.
- The next step is to complete the check deposit consent form and provide a copy of it to pendell@saintroseonline.org.
- The third step is to verify your income with the state of Ohio by submitting a form through the mail or, preferably, by creating an account and uploading an income document online. Please follow these instructions when creating an account. Income verification helpful tips can be found by following this link.
- Finally, you will need to apply for Saint Rose Tuition Assistance for any tuition assistance needed beyond the EdChoice Scholarship.
