Perrysburg Christians United
Perrysburg Christians United (PCU) is a community service organization comprised of collaborating volunteers from eleven Christian churches in the Perrysburg area, including Saint Rose. PCU believes it has been called to assist individuals, families, and the community to foster comfort of mind, body, and spirit during needful situations. PCU operates a food pantry and provides crisis assistance to those in need in the Perrysburg area. We also organize blood drives and various food drives throughout the year.
PCU Food Pantry
The PCU food pantry is located at Grace United Methodist Church at 601 East Boundary Street in Perrysburg. The pantry is located in the back, southeast corner of the parking lot. The pantry operates on the following schedule:
| MONDAYS | 1:00-2:30pm |
| FRIDAYS | 9:00-10:30am |
| 2nd SATURDAY | 9:00-10:00am |
The pantry serves those who live in Wood County north of State Route 582. Those receiving food assistance must present two proofs of address (for example, a photo ID and a recent utility bill) and must verify that their income falls within the guidelines of the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services.
How can I support the Food Pantry?
Saint Rose members are encouraged to donate non-perishable foods, paper towels, and personal items including soap, shampoo, toilet paper, toothpaste, and hygiene products.
As participating members, the Saint Rose suggested monthly donations to keep the pantry stocked are as follows, however any and all donations are greatly appreciated.
| January | Instant Potatoes |
| February | Canned Meats |
| March | Pasta |
| April | Shampoo & Toiletries |
| May | Crackers |
| June | Cereal |
| July | Toilet Paper |
| August | Soup |
| September | Peanut Butter |
| October | Canned Vegetables |
| November | Hamburger Helper |
| December | Pork & Beans |
Food donations from Saint Rose should be placed in the PCU collection box located just inside the center doors of the Church in the vestibule. Cash and checks (made out to PCU) may be placed in the collection basket at weekend Masses or dropped off at the parish office during the week.
You can also volunteer to be a "pantry escort" or to register clients. Assistance is also needed for the annual Saint Rose Food Drive. Contact your Saint Rose PCU Representatives to volunteer:

Feed the 5,000 Lenten Food Drive
During the Lenten Season each year, PCU collects more than 2000 pounds of tuna, chicken, chili, stew, and other canned protein-rich foods. Saint Rose members may drop off items during Lent in the PCU designated box in the vestibule.
Crisis Assistance
PCU provides financial assistance to neighbors in need in crisis situations. To request assistance with rent or utilities, please call (419) 407-7857 during the first week of each month. Assistance is limited to once every two years.
Blood Drives
PCU sponsors three blood drives each year in January, May, and September. The drives are held at Zoar Lutheran Church and PCU provides phone callers, snacks, and other volunteers for the day of the blood drives. To volunteer or donate blood, contact one of the Saint Rose PCU representatives. To donate, register online with the Red Cross and use zip code 43551 to find a local drive.
