Scholarships & Tuition Assistance

Saint Rose Catholic School strives to make an affordable Catholic education available to all who wish to receive it.  We have numerous options for tuition assistance. Our school administration and tuition assistance committee work with our families on an individual basis to their needs.  Please review the options below and feel free to contact our school with any questions that you may have.

The Educational Choice (EdChoice) Scholarship  
This program offers students in grades K-12 the opportunity to attend a private school for little or no cost. Students from designated public schools qualify for these scholarships. For more information, visit the Ohio Department of Education.

EdChoice Expansion Program
This program is an income-based scholarship that provides students in grades K – 12 the opportunity to attend a private school for little or no cost   For more information, please visit the Ohio Department of Education website for more information.

Saint Rose Parish “Sponsor A Student”
Families interested in applying for financial assistance from the Saint Rose Parish Sponsor-A-Student Fund are required to submit an application via Blackbaud Financial Aid Management. The preferred date of submission is April 15, 2026 to be eligible for consideration.

Scholarships

Saint Rose Parish is fortunate to have the following scholarships available and will be awarded to families upon review of their verified Blackbaud/SMART Aid application.  Blackbaud/SMART Aid applications submitted by April 15 will be given preferential status.

Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO)
The Saint Rose SGO will be awarded to students based on financial need.  Families will be required to apply for the state’s EdChoice Expansion Scholarship and to submit a yearly Smart Aid application each year, with preference given to those that apply by April 15. 

Marilyn Bureau Scholarship
The Bureau Scholarship will be awarded to one or more Saint Rose School students in kindergarten through eighth grade who have a demonstrated financial need. These students must also be registered parishioners at either Saint Rose of Lima or Saint John XXIII parishes.

Larry & Suzie Davenport Scholarship
The Davenport Scholarship will be awarded to one or more Saint Rose School students in kindergarten through eighth grade who have a demonstrated financial need. These students must also be registered parishioners at either Saint Rose of Lima or Saint John XXIII parishes.

Gorski Family Foundation Scholarship
The Gorski Family Foundation awards two Saint Rose students scholarships of $1,000 each for their sixth-grade year, based on academic performance in the fifth grade and demonstrated financial need. Recipients must have achieved and maintained a minimum overall B average and a B grade in science. These scholarships may be renewable for the students’ seventh and eighth-grade years provided they are enrolled at Saint Rose School and maintain the academic requirements stated above.

Thomas G. & Patricia A Hoffmann Scholarship
The Hoffmann Scholarship will be awarded to one or more Saint Rose School students in kindergarten through eighth grade who have a demonstrated financial need. These students must also be registered parishioners at either Saint Rose of Lima or Saint John XXIII parishes.

Holy Name Society Scholarship
The Holy Name Society Scholarship is awarded to an incoming seventh or an eighth-grade student enrolled in Saint Rose School, whose family has a demonstrated financial need.

Robert & Janise Kaufman Scholarship
The Kaufman Scholarship will be awarded to one or more Saint Rose School students in kindergarten through eighth grades who have a demonstrated financial need. These students must also be registered parishioners at either Saint Rose of Lima or Saint John XXIII parishes.

Knights of Columbus Scholarships
The Knights of Columbus Scholarships will be awarded to one or more Saint Rose School students in kindergarten through eighth grades, who have a demonstrated financial need. These students must also be registered parishioners or related to a registered parishioner at Saint Rose of Lima parish.

James A. & Veronica G. Leyland Scholarship
The Leyland Scholarship will be awarded to one or more Saint Rose School students in kindergarten through eighth grade who have a demonstrated financial need. These students must also be registered parishioners at either Saint Rose of Lima or Saint John XXIII parishes.

Richard & Sandra Tober Scholarship
The Richard & Sandra Tober Scholarship will be awarded to one or more Saint Rose School students in kindergarten through eighth grade who have a demonstrated financial need.
These students must also be registered parishioners at either Saint Rose of Lima or Saint John XXIII parishes.


Pirate Parent’s Club Scholarship
The Pirate Parents’ Club Scholarship will be awarded to one or more Saint Rose School students in kindergarten through eighth grade who have a demonstrated financial need. These students must also be registered parishioners at either Saint Rose of Lima or Saint John XXIII parishes.


Monthly Payments

All registered families are required to enroll in Blackbaud Tuition Management. Families may pay tuition in full by June 1 or choose 10 monthly payments (August through May.)
